It's now official. Rush Limbaugh is the head of the Republican Party. When Republican Party chairman Michael Steele genuflected to Rush Limbaugh the coronation was official. Abraham Lincoln just turned face down in his grave. Teddy Roosevelt gave up San Juan Hill. The party that once ushered in the end of slavery now ushers in slavery to narrow-mindedness, perpetual anger, shortsightedness, hate, and everything you shouldn't take with you to church on Sunday or synagogue on Saturday.

Rush Limbaugh's conservatism has no room for tolerance of the other person's opinion. For that matter, Rush Limbaugh's conservatism has no tolerance for the other person period. He is a narcissistic man full of anger, hatred, and self-doubt who has risen to a position of power which should make all Americans shudder, not just Republicans. Why would anyone be surprised that this man would wish Obama's policies to fail? It is easy for him to stand and say what ever he wants because he has never been in a position of accepting responsibility for other people. No doubt, if he were elected to Congress this spiel coming out of his mouth would still be the same. But at least then, he would have to face the voters.

Limbaughism is a new brand of McCarthyism. Censorship, meanness, condemning people without trials, and spreading fear wherever he can will be the hallmarks of this man's reign of terror. It was far easier to make a joke of him before the Republicans handed him the reins to power in their party. The Republicans have made many mistakes in their history, as have the Democrats, but this one will haunt them for many decades to come. Rush Limbaugh's flawed nature was clearly evident in the whole OxyContin incident. He committed several crimes and got away with them. Now he is about to commit murder on the body politic. Hopefully someone will hold him accountable.

if you disagree with me, fine. If you disagree with the president, fine. If you dislike the president intensely, fine. But I will delete any comments that are devoid of content and intended to insult other people. I will do not deny anyone freedom of speech. But I will deny people the right to be senselessly abusive.

Rush Limbaugh Head of the GOP

Michael Steele is the Head of the RNC.

Attempts to portray otherwise is racism at its finest.

You guys sound scared that there's another Black Voice alternative to Obama-MICHAEL STEELE.

Don't forget it.

Rush is a hypocrite beyond a level to comprehend. When the Oxy-contin scandal was going on. Howard Stern used to play clips of Rush slamming politicians, about drug and sex scandals. I think hes no more that a glorified evangelist.

Rush and all the other hatemongers only care about ratings. They do not care about this country.

Paul Harvey, who died recently, was a conservative radio commentator with class.

Rush Limbaugh is not qualified to polish Paul Harvey's boots.

I did not vote for Obama, but I will support him as long as I think he is trying to help this nation get out of the terrible mess we are in. So far, I think he is trying to do that.

I was hopeful that this would be a year of reconciliation. I see no evidence of that from either side.

It is beyond my understanding why any American would want his president to fail.

Rush is all about ego. He is also a full-blown narcissist. That means the world has to conform to his view or the world isn't right. Ergo, it's better for Obama to fail and the world to conform to his (Rush's) view, then for Obama to succeed and Rush face an America that is totally intolerable to him. Reagan didn't make government smaller. Bush certainly didn't make government smaller. Conservatives Republican are facing the wrong way of history. the unregulated free market was an utter failure. The CEOs of Bank of America and Citigroup just apologized for what they did. Didn't they know better?

All of these hate mongers, Limbaugh, Coulter, OReilley are winding down. It is about ratings. The ratings are not going to continue to support this kind of BS in a down economy.

In these hard times, we either swim together or sink together.

I am probably not the only one who has noticed that Rush seems bloated. A hot air balloon can only expand so far- and then it will explode.
